Reepham Rotary Club presented a Community Champion Award to Lucy Smith. Lucy, aged 10, has raised over £25,000 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity in memory of her grandfather Derek Easton.
She came to our meeting to tell us about her stall on the Cawston Road in Reepham where she sells a wide range of plants – many grown by her, with others donated.
The Award recognises her enthusiasm and dedication in making such a contribution at a young age. Lucy explained to the Club Meeting how she sources her plants and how she has managed to work through heat and drought.
The Club also made a donation to Lucy’s growing fund.
