Trevor Hardingham come to tell us something of the history of Wood Dalling and the various characters he remembers.  The subject was interesting to a number of natives of the village so we were able to welcome many friends to an interesting evening.

A pleasant evening of fellowship in a newly warm St Michael’s. Our quiz on Friday raised around £1000; many thanks to all who took part and helped.

A small team went to Porsche Norwich to learn about the future of electric cars. We had a good talk on that but most were more interested in the high-performance petrol versions.

We welcomed Clive Evans who brought us up to date with developments at the Priscilla Bacon Lodge.  The new hospice building is impressive and will increase care available to cancer sufferers. The Club was pleased to send a small donation.

We welcomed Prof Claire Jowitt and Julian Barnwell who gave us a fascinating presentation on the history of HMS Gloucester and the work being done to survey and recover artefacts from the wreck.  With 100 visitors we were grateful to Reepham College for use of their facilities.  We will watch with interest the programme to […]

Burns Night was celebrated with excellent haggis from Avril, a convivial evening with friends and some poetry in gibberish. Mercifully the piper was on tape and could be turned down. Thank you Peter for excellent organisation.
